The Election of Abraham Lincoln

When Lincoln started running for president, many people thought he would be in favor of northern interests. Before Lincoln was even elected president, seven states had seceded from the Union. Many say he favored the North much more than the South, not only northern interests. The South might have attacked because they felt that Abe Lincoln didn't care about them.
